There’s no doubt that Roman shades are a versatile, beautiful, and highly stylish window covering. Standing the test of times, the Roman shade remains a popular window covering. It does have its drawbacks, though. Over the years, we’ve had customers from the Colts Neck NJ area express some dissatisfaction with the cords that run vertically on the back side of the shade, giving it an unattractive look from the outside. On the room-facing side of the A Deux system is the beautiful Silhouette shade. The vanes of Silhouette® window shades magically float between two sheers. Simply tilt the vanes to achieve your desired level of light and privacy. With no cords or tapes, the sheer facings allow you to view through the vanes to the outside, while maintaining a discreet level of privacy. The sheers soften sunlight to create warmth without too much brightness. Choose from 2” and 3” vane Silhouette fabrics, including Alustra products, to be paired with a room-darkening roller shade option. Silhouette shades are available in a wide variety of colors and fabrics.
With the A Deux system, a high quality Hunter Douglas roller shade shares a headrail cassette with a Silhouette shade. With the roller shade in the back, you can enjoy complete room darkening when you want it — perfect for media rooms and bedrooms.
