• Ronald McDonald House Charities®. Long a supporter of this charity, Hunter Douglas recently created Shades of Happiness, a contest in which kids drew pictures that conveyed “happiness,” and submitted them for consideration. The winners were printed onto shades in the architectural division, which were hung in the Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times dining hall.
• Habitat for Humanity. For more than a quarter of a century, Hunter Douglas has partnered with this organization, which helps disadvantaged people get housing. So far, they have donated nearly 300,000 window treatments to low-income families, as well as working hours helping to build new homes.
• Memorial Sloan Kettering. Hunter Douglas recently underwrote a graduate fellowship in breast cancer research, in the hopes that talented students will have breakthroughs in the search for a cure.
• Hospitals and healthcare facilities. Hunter Douglas donates to worldwide health institutions—both monetarily and with window treatments for their patient and exam rooms.
• Disaster relief. When disaster strikes, Hunter Douglas is ready to help. To date, they’ve donated to numerous efforts, including those to help those impacted by Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines and the floods in Colorado.
