We have found that there are five types of homeowners we come into contact with. Each of these homeowners has a different buying habit, and are interested in their own style of shopping. Our window treatment professionals are attuned to these personality types and are trained to cater the shopping experience to the homeowner.

5 Types of Shopping Personality Types

1. The Touchy-Feely

This shopper likes to physically handle the product, see, touch and feel. We suggest this homeowner come into our Hunter Douglas Gallery Showroom in Red Bank New Jersey. There is a full selection of displays with many window shade types, lifting options, and add-on options. In the showroom one can see, touch and feel the various options.

2. The Mall Lingerer

This person enjoys taking their time to look around, and “hang-out” in the showroom. We are happy to accommodate this homeowner. We have a very comfortable seating area, beverages including hot tea, and a friendly environment.  Come spend as much time as you would like looking around, enjoying our custom upholstered chairs and the relaxed ambiance we have created in our showroom.

3. Guerilla Shopper

This homeowner likes to get-in and get-out. They like to have the process finished as quickly as possible. They usually know exactly what they want and want to make the right purchase quickly. They are not interested in more than one meeting or developing a relationship with the window treatment professional. They just want to sit down, make a selection, and place the order all in one shot. We have a process which allows us to learn about our clients needs quickly so we can find the right solution within one meeting and satisfy the Guerilla Shopper.

4. The Sales Junkie

This customer is looking for the best economical deal they could find. They are looking for a bargain, and are even willing to spend more money, purchasing more product, to get a better deal. We offer special deals seasonally on specific products. The sales junkie should sign up for our email newsletter so they will receive emails with our specials and deals.

5.  The Social Shopper

This individual enjoys shopping with friends, and enjoys the experience of including others in their decision. We would love for you to bring along your best friends for your shopping experience.
